Prairie Shores Camp Use Policy
The maximum number of participants at any camp with food provided is 120.
Camp Rental- Applications to rent the camp for personal use are on the OLLC website and can be filled out and sent to the camp board. The deadline for applications is April 30th but will be on a first come first serve basis. The minimum daily rate for camp rental is $500. Donations above this amount will be accepted. The camp must be cleaned after each rental by those who rented it.
Scheduling- The final schedule for the camp season will be prepared at the board meeting following the rental application deadline. A calendar of events at the camp will be posted on the OLLC website.
Member Camping- This is currently being looked at. If it becomes available, a list of guidelines will be added.
Sauna Use Policy- Bathing suits are to be worn by all sauna users. The sauna is only to be used if the whole facility has been rented or if participating in a camp.
Driving Policy- Vehicle are to be driven on designated roadways only.
Smoking Policy- There are 4 designated smoking areas (1 by each dorm, 1 by the main building, and 1 by the lake). Smoking outside these areas is strictly prohibited. Cigarette butts are to be put only in the provided receptacles.
Haps Use/Day Use- This is allowed providing there is nothing scheduled at the camp, including group rentals. Check the schedule on the OLLC website to confirm if there is anything going on there. A “leave only footprints” policy will be in effect for this type of use. For the first year the bathrooms by the dorms will be available for use but is expected they will be left clean.
Damages- If anything gets damaged while using the facility, it will be expected that it will be repaired or replaced.
Bonfires- Fires will be allowed only in the main fire pit and if conditions permit.
